Overview:
Performs welding of metal objects using a gas torch or arc welder. Plans and produces metal forms or objects, or reconstructs damaged articles of various metals and alloys. Utilizes hand tools, fixtures, jigs, and clamps for small welding jobs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for producing metal forms or objects by cutting metal, fusing metal, and following specifications. Works closely with Machine Shop Foreman.

Essential Functions:
Must have good communication and interpretive skills. Must be able to stand while working and lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance. Must be able to work independently, as well as in a team environment. Must be able to work accurately and under the constraints of a deadline. Must be accurate in timekeeping.
